About Dr. Stephen E. Konikoff, D.D.S.
Born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Dr. Konikoff attended Granby High School before attending the University of Richmond for his undergraduate studies. After graduating from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in May 1975, Dr. Konikoff began practicing dentistry at Wards Corner with Dr. Harold Epstein the very next month. Since then, Dr. Konikoff’s enthusiasm for dentistry has grown as he continues to realize the true satisfaction of helping his patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Konikoff has been a volunteer with Operation Smile since its inception in 1981. Operation Smile sends volunteers to countries throughout the world to repair childhood facial deformities while advocating, through public and private partnerships, for sustainable health care for children and families. By improving dental health care in communities and repairing facial deformities in children who would not otherwise have access to treatment, Operation Smile changes lives
About Dr. Alisa Smith-Kayal, D.D.S.
Dr.Smith-Kayal has been a member of Konikoff Family Dentistry since 1991. She grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and attended Virginia Wesleyan College for her undergraduate studies. She later graduated from the medical college of Virginia School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Smith-Kayal has joined Dr. Konikoff and formed a team that seeks to meet and surpass the expectations of their dental patients. Through one-on-one attention and personal service, both Dr. Smith-Kayal and Dr. Konikoff are able to provide patients with the most comfortable and effective dental care possible.
About Dr. Jimmy Lee, D.D.S
Dr. Jimmy Lee is a native Virginian, raised in Richmond. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia (Go Cavaliers!) before continuing his studies at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Lee completed advanced training at the University of Florida in St. Petersburg. During his residency, Dr. Lee focused on all aspects of dentistry, including implant placement and restoration, extractions, root canal therapy, and full mouth rehabilitation. Since joining Konikoff Family Dentistry in July 2010, Dr. Lee has committed himself to providing his patients with high quality dentistry in a fun and relaxing environment. Dr. Lee loves being a part of the Konikoff Family Dentistry team and its patient-centric approach to dental care. Outside of the office, Dr. Lee enjoys golfing, playing the piano and guitar, and spending time with his family.
